Being vegan isn’t just something I decided on one day—it’s been the way I’ve lived my entire life. Since birth, I’ve been brought up in a family that believes in a compassionate, plant-based lifestyle. As I grew older, I realised that veganism is more than a dietary choice; it’s about embracing values that reflect care for animals, the environment, and the planet as a whole. For me, it’s always been about making choices that are mindful and kind, and staying true to those beliefs no matter where life takes me.

Growing up vegan, I’ve always had to be mindful of the products I use, from the food I eat to the skincare, beauty products, and even the candles I light in my home. Over the years, I’ve become more and more aware of how important it is to find brands that reflect the same ethics I hold dear. Whether it’s avoiding animal testing, ensuring products are cruelty-free, or choosing plant-based ingredients, these choices aren’t just trends to me—they’re fundamental to how I want to live my life.

With so many products on the market, it can be overwhelming to navigate the options. But after years of trial and error (and a lot of research), I’ve found a few go-to brands that not only align with my values but are also an absolute joy to use.

1. Lunaire Refillable Candles
One of my all-time favourites is Lunaire. Finding candles that are vegan, cruelty-free, and eco-conscious is no small feat, but Lunaire ticks all those boxes. Their candles are made with plant-based waxes, and knowing that no animals were harmed in the process makes me feel good every time I light one. Plus, they offer a range of beautiful scents that fit perfectly into my home. Lunaire also champions sustainability with its unique refillable design, allowing me to enjoy candles guilt-free while reducing waste. Whether I’m relaxing after a long day or setting the mood for a cosy evening, Lunaire’s candles bring a sense of calm without compromising on my values.

2. LUSH
LUSH is another brand that I’m deeply connected with. From their skincare to their haircare products, LUSH has been a trusted name in the vegan and cruelty-free world for years. I love their commitment to transparency, ethical sourcing, and their focus on using fresh, natural ingredients. Their products, from bath bombs to shampoos, not only smell amazing but also leave me feeling good about the choices I’m making. Knowing that I’m supporting a brand that genuinely cares about animals and sustainability makes all the difference.

3. Dr. Martens
For fashion, Dr. Martens' vegan line has been a game-changer for me. I’ve always been a fan of their iconic boots, but finding out they had a vegan alternative sealed the deal. Their vegan leather options are just as durable and stylish as the original, and they allow me to express my personal style without compromising my principles. It’s great to see more fashion brands offering vegan options, and Dr. Martens continues to lead the way in making cruelty-free fashion accessible.

These brands are more than just products to me—they represent a lifestyle of mindfulness, care, and responsibility. Each one reflects a commitment to making ethical choices easier for those of us who are striving to live in harmony with our values. For me, choosing products that align with my beliefs isn’t about sacrifice; it’s about living consciously and knowing that even small decisions can have a big impact.

If you’re looking to make more mindful choices, I encourage you to explore these brands and experience the joy of ethical, sustainable living. In a world where it can be difficult to find brands that truly align with a vegan lifestyle, I’m grateful for companies like Lunaire, LUSH, and Dr. Martens. They not only make it easier to live compassionately, but they also prove that ethical choices can be luxurious, stylish, and effective.

My journey as a lifelong vegan has taught me the importance of standing by my principles, and I’m always on the lookout for new brands that uphold the same ethical standards. The more we support these companies, the more we encourage others to do the same, creating a ripple effect for a kinder, more sustainable world.
